Great Home guide to doing Metcon type workouts! Exactly what I need due to time constraints. Would be 5 stars if there was a dumbbell alternative for the strength workouts.

Workout prescriptions are smart and give me just as good of a workout as at my Crossfit box. The app gives me pretty good targets to hit with each workout which helps me push myself. The design is clean and simple, yet it still provides a good amount of user customization which allows me to easily adapt my workout based on the equipment that I have available.

The calorie count is far too optimistic previously, but it is more credible in the new version, which fixed the only flaw of this app.
  • Love It!

Seems like it would be a good app, but the IAP keeps failing. Known issue?
  • Not boring

Have been looking for something to shake up my routine. Just what I needed. Challenging and a great mix of workouts. Love how complete the program is with warm up, strength, conditioning and cool down. I'm 55 years old and my 25 year old daughter is doing them with me. We both love this app!!

Fantastic High Intensity Interval and Functional Training app. The app records the times and weights you use. So, no need to write anything down. It would be nice to be able to see the next days workout. Still, Keelo is amazing.

Update: I kept it at three starts notwithstanding the developer’s response which I now agree with. Before I review I want to make it clear that the concept is great and I love and recommend this app. I just really hope it gets better. I keep it at three stars because I’ve been using it regularly and the app is extremely buggy. Connection between the app and the Apple Watch is not consistent. More often than not, the Apple Watch app will crash when I launch it to start a new workout and I’ll have to uninstall and reinstall it. Often my today workout will change on the day I’m working out. I’ll have gathered the equipment and be ready to start but then will look at the app to review an exercise and suddenly I’m looking at a new conditioning workout. The calorie counter doesn’t seem to be measured based on effort. Meaning there is a set number of calories assigned to a workout and it doesn’t matter whether you did it faster or slower or what your heart rate is, the calorie count is always the same and sometimes it’s something crazy like it once told me burned 450 calories in 15 min. Hope this is helpful. Update: I added one star for two reasons. One, it appears you can hit a refresh button on your today workouts to have the app suggest something different. Two, coach and development team responses indicated that they have a different philosophy on working out tired muscles. I haven’t researched this but I’m sure there is something out there that supports their claims since there is something that supports every claim out there. You still however cannot see your schedule in advance and can not customize it yourself. I will continue to evaluate but my legs are killing me. It’s unfortunate that I felt compelled to write this review because I really like using this app. I’m still in my trial period so I’m still evaluating it. The exercise selections are great but the best part is the timer and workout tracking on the Apple Watch. Once you select them and learn the sets from watching the videos, you don’t need the phone anymore. The watch gives you a 5 second vibration countdown when you approach the beginning/end of a set and you keep going. Once your done it asks you to input your weight or time and your done. This part is done very well. The problem is with the personal trainer and scheduling part of the app. First, you don’t know what your workout is going to be the next day. It won’t tell you until that morning which can be frustrating in and of itself but what makes it worse is that it doesn’t recommend the right exercises. The first day I used it, it recommended a squat strength exercise then the very next day it recommended a conditioning exercise with two variations of a squat. My legs were so soar from the first day there is no way that is the right recommendation. I sent a message to the trainer who was quick in responding the first day when I asked about the scheduling but this time I didn’t get a response and I believe it’s because there was not much she could say. The app recommended the wrong exercise. This would be less problematic if you could modify your schedule but as far as I can tell you can’t do that. I’ll prob continue to use this for the trial period because it really is a great companion to the workout but I doubt I’ll sign up especially since the personal trainer part is very flawed.
