  • Customer service is a joke (or a robot).

I guess I was one of the "lucky" ones who actually received a reply, several I might add, all copy and paste of the same reply - they never even read what you write, apparently. Thankfully I found this out early on and didn't make the mistake of actually spending money in the game, which is pretty tempting considering it's nearly impossible to complete the design requirements - if you do plan on playing, you'll wind up only being able to play the daily - but you're still going to run into problems in meeting requirements, if you don't have every piece or you're forced to submit an ugly design just to get some cash - which is NOT fun. Not to mention making other people cringe when they see it - good thing it's virtual, ugh!

The app and game is expensive--- needing to buy furnitures and decorations almost everyday but the reward system is too uhmmm nonexistent! I don't know how voting works because you see highest voted designs which are not even in line with the "requirement" of the look (for example, Daily Challenge is rustic living room but you see some most voted not have rustic touch). Too many furniture designers and too many style, yet the reward gives you one piece of furniture you could use for 5 times (that is if the voting goes your way) and $500, $1000 or $2500 cash reward but the cost of buying good furniture is more.

I truly love this game. I love designing,& it's great that the items are available for sale. As another reviewer wrote... It would be GREAT to include some less expensive options/brands as well. To even be competitive, I do have to spend money. I find myself saying, "I wish I wasn't designing on such a budget, with limited art work/accessories." You must level up to unlock better quality. I play Covet as well. I wish this app would have a "like" option to show how many ppl liked your design & save the ones you "like"! It would also be great if you could make "top design" for your level. All in all, I play everyday and love it.

Love this app because I can get ideas on how to decorate and learn from other decorating.
  • Great with a few frustrations

I'm loving this game and I also feel that it helps give me clarity in how I perceive and design my own personal space. However, the competitive, gaming side of me gets frustrated as I see designs "winning" 5 stars although they don't quite fit the criteria. Since the designs are voted on by the players, I see where the flaw is. When participating in the design portion of a specific challenge we are given specific details and backstory- i.e. male, kid, loves spaceships, loves colors, etc. However, when participating in the voting portion of that same challenge, there's only a one-liner - I.e., vote on the most colorful kids room. If a voter has not actually participated in the challenge then they don't know the backstory which creates further design limitations. I also agree that it is nearly impossible to purchase higher valued items without spending real money. This makes for an additional frustration in the competitive realm.
  • Too many problems...waiting for something better

I LOVE your game, but as soon as someone creates a designing game without all your glitches, (and it’s only a matter of time) I will gladly switch to a company who doesn’t ignore its paying customers. The concept is addictive for anyone who enjoys designing rooms, and it’s so much fun. I wish it were easier to earn diamonds, since you can only use diamonds to buy decorative items like art and greenery, which adds so much to a room’s appeal. Unfortunately, there are only a few options. Earning 500 each day as a daily reward is nice, but it doesn’t go too far since most items cost way more than this. The only other way to earn diamonds is either by paying a fortune or completing tasks through a third party company called Tapjoy. This company is subpar and unreliable at its best. Of the tasks I’ve completed to try and earn diamonds, I’d say 75% of the time I never receive my diamonds. The times I’ve tried to resolve the issue, Tapjoy plays this game where they reply with rote responses, so that you must jump through several hoops and many emails to get anything accomplished. Nobody has time for that. I don’t have the time it would take to do this every time a problem with them arises, so I usually just move on. Despite my better judgement, I foolishly completed another task today to earn more diamonds through Tapjoy since we can earn double diamonds right now (I guess for the holidays). There’s 25 minutes of my life I won’t get back. Of course, I didn’t receive the diamonds you promised. Please don’t make your Tapjoy excuse. In the end, this poor reflection goes back to YOU since you choose to use them despite hundreds of negative reviews expressing similar frustrations. I ended up wasting 25 minutes completing a “quick” survey, which I’m sure will result in tons of spam and junk calls for the next few weeks that will need to be cleared up. I also have trouble using this app on my iPad. It works fine on my phone, but freezes up on my iPad. I thought it might be my device, however all my other apps work perfectly. I could be in the middle of designing a room, and suddenly the app just closes for no reason. When I go back into the app, I have to start over since it doesn’t save the design until you complete the entire room and submit. This happens on a daily basis on my iPad. I get very similar results on my laptop. Very disappointing.

  • Frustrated

I would rate it a five if it didn't cut off on me every time I use it. And I can never save my changes when that happens. Frustrating when it kicks me out of a design every time I use it!
  • Beautiful game, unfair voting

This is the only game I have ever played and really love it! But I learned quickly that you have to lean toward black or aqua to get above a 4 on any challenges, even when the criteria states otherwise. Also, I learned the hard way that people are doing whatever they want and not following the criteria at all. One of my first challenges, was an outdoor patio. I used all outdoor items including rugs and scored below a 4. It was ridiculous to see the winners, and 5 star designs with indoor cloth couches, rugs and lamps being used for an outdoor design. So to compete I have to do the same.

I was having so much fun with this app, it’s addictive but after making several purchases for the cash and diamonds you need to play I noticed that I was getting CHEATED out of rewards I earned (that if they’d been received I would not have had to make those purchases...). I reached out to them and got no response until I wrote a bad review which prompted an immediate apology and email address to contact them where the promised to remedy the problem. I sent that email detailing the issue over two weeks ago AND HAVEN’T RECEIVED A REPLY YET!!! I bet they send the same reply to this message...
