  • Don’t understand the complaints

IF you know ANYTHING about a computer at all or WiFi this app is very simple. I don’t understand all the complaints people are complaining about. You locate devices by the MAC address or on the genie app IF you have Netgear. If your not sure what your blocking or not blocking simply go into the sights and check the age appropriate materials ect. This is not a baby sitter and children should not be left in a room running computers at free will anyway. We always check in on what our son is doing and when he’s done he is completely switched off until the next time. Video games are allowed to connect rarely and we monitor those as well. We don’t allow children free run on the internet in our home. And the TV is setup requiring passwords on unrated programs. Parents take responsibility and quit looking for a short cut to babysit your children. Get involved and know what’s going on great App and 5 stars to NetGear for including it in your routers.
  • Shuts down router

I never had a problem with my router until I enabled the built in Circle. It has disconnected itself from the WiFi, essentially shutting down the WiFi three times. Each time I have to reconnect it and it does not recognize the subscription I already paid. The first time I didn’t realize what happened and ended up paying a second time for the same month. I just disabled it completely and deleted the app.
  • Horrible

It makes your WiFi terrible and it ruins lives. I used to use it don’t make the same mistake I did. My WiFi went at 10 MPS. It’s just a piece of trash
  • Started out good. But now is bad!!

I’m in the telecommunications world. Been doing it for years. I have the Netgear Knighthawk X6. An awesome router by all means. I installed the router. Everything went great. Found out it has the Circle with Disney app. This allowed me to set up and monitor everything. Install of the app went great! Worked flawlessly. But once I left my house and it disconnected, I have not been able to get back into the app properly. Uninstalled the app and then installed it again. Nothing. Sad that this feature is no longer working!!

  • Kind of fun to get around

    By IceWallow_ComeDaily
My parents got circle about a year ago, but it hasn’t really done anything. All it has done is me from restarting a game if I turn off my pc but if I just don’t close the game it won’t even kick me out of servers. 2nd of all it is a little fun to find out how to get around it such as vpns cellular data or just keep reloading the site until it works. 3rd If you ever get onto your parents circle you can just get the code and edit the settings whenever you want so it doesn’t do anything. Also one thing that bothers me that the Minecraft setting is called “Minecraft PE” meaning pocket edition even though it isn’t just supposed to be pocket edition. Overall a pretty weak app but works for a while until you find one of the numerous bugs that makes it not affect you. Kind of a waste of $ i’m not sure why my parents got such an ineffective system and are sticking with it, but thanks I guess for minimal parental control.
