Later we created Surviving High School and Cause of Death, the first games with episodes, for EA. Both games hit the Top 25 and were inspirations for other companies. After leaving EA, our team regrouped in a small office and with the quacking of nearby ducklings we set out to create story-driven games with heart. As Pixelberry, we launched two hit games, High School Story and Hollywood U. Our team has now grown to over a dozen of the most experienced game writers in the industry. In our 10 years of creating story games together, we’ve seen heartbreak, marriages, great adventures, and even Pixelbabies. But even through diaper changes and late nights, we think we’ve created our best work to date. We hope you’ll fall in love with our newest characters, Chris, James, Kaitlyn, Dave, and Sam just as we have. Enjoy, - The Pixelberry Team

Please read all the reviews and suggestions. Love the stories but it’s impossible to enjoy to the fullest without paying a fortune.

I have been waiting weeks for the next book to come out to see what happens in my favorite series so far. I am a little bummed that I can’t earn diamonds when rereading a book though. I do like that the diamond choices that I made, stay even if I restart the book though!

This is a great game, but a total money pit for anyone who wants to get the good stuff in-game. The good choices cost diamonds which are impossible to get and cost a bunch to buy. Without them, you’re stuck with the basic options which don’t get you very far.
  • ugh.

i love this game and i love the storylines but the diamonds and micro transactions are beyond frustrating. why would i play a game that makes me go broke (you can’t get enough diamonds for one choice even if you play a whole book.) when i can just look up the story line for free online? seriously. if you want people to play your game, make it enjoyable. i’m sorry, but i have to delete this game before i go broke.
  • Keys

It's a really good game and all but I think they should give 2 keys every hour instead of waiting one hour for one key. Also, the maximum number of keys shouldn't be just two.
  • Won’t let me play

Keeps saying I’m offline when I’m connected to data. It doesn’t make sense
  • Good but to much $$

This game is really fun and intriguing. The only thing that I really don’t like about it is the fact that in every chapter you have to pay $$ to get diamonds in order to make a Choice. Plus you only get one diamond per chapter yet it costs 15+ diamonds to make some Choices. I think to make this factor better it should be changed to earning 5 diamonds per chapter and 8+ diamonds to make important Choices.

I’ll start with the bad. 2 keys every six hours. It’s dreadful. Not everyone is willing to spend money on this. My strategy is to play the stories I don’t care too much about to earn diamonds, and save those diamonds for a big choice in the stories I DO care about. It takes weeks, but it can be worth it. My favorite stories, in order, are: It Lives In The Woods (holy crap this is the best story I’ve come across in any of these apps) The Royal Romance The Crown and Flame And that’s it. The others aren’t BAD, but they’re not as good as these three. The Hero is too cheesy. The Freshman/Sophomore got old pretty quick. The Christmas special one was cringeworthy. Red Carpet Diaries I haven’t given a fair chance yet. Endless Summer was okay. I got one chapter into the Most Wanted and rolled my eyes. I love this app, and I have spent money on it, because I think it’s worth it (sometimes). I’m looking forward to continuing old favorites and starting new ones :)

The game is great, with awesome visuals and great stories, but the diamond thing is ruining it. Each diamond choice costs 20+ diamonds, and sometimes multiple diamond choices in some chapters. And the diamond choices are often the only ones that will be the good choice for the story. Need a better way to earn diamonds faster, or choices should cost a lot less.

It is pretty good, I love the stories. My only issue is that sometimes the good options are too expensive and you have to pay two bucks just for diamonds to buy choices.
