  • Useless Rather Quickly

    By HeadTripper
I downloaded this app based on a recommendation on a travel blog. I created my trip, but very quickly found that the search engine for particular destinations did not recognize towns that I am staying in hotels in. So, right away the trip planner is useless because there are large gaps. I searched Google maps for these towns missing in the app and they were on google maps as were the hotels. One would thing if it was in google maps, then it would be in the google trip app. App is not ready for prime time - unless you are going to a big, popular destination.

Would be great to be able to share trips.
  • Great start

Just downloaded it and looks promising. I will love to receive notifications about my flights (check in, delays, gate, luggage belt), hotel check in/out times, time to leave to airport... Also a calendar style view that show my trip plan (different color for each city). Finally a Timeline view with all mu flights, hotels, trains, attractions...
  • Impotent

Planning a long and complicated trip from Newfoundland to Alabama. - it didn’t import any of my hotel or ferry reservations, despite forwarding twice. - it doesn’t access contacts to insert friends’ addresses, despite being pinned in my favorites. - when I tried to insert their addresses manually, it doesn’t recognize or find their US towns (yet found my Canadian town, population 200?) - I didn’t see any way to search for help in the app. I’m not sure what this app does correctly. I’m going back to Tripit.
  • Useless for vacation planning

Very disappointed with this app. If you are only going to stay at the destination where your plane is landing then this is the app for you. (I do have concerns about whether it will update your flight if you get an email about a change). If you were planning on driving around and staying at different places then save yourself the trouble and find another app. You would think that since Google already has a maps program you could actually plan a road trip in the app and be able to use Google trips for the actual trip that you are taking. Since you will need other apps to stay on top of your flight, hotels, and driving plans, there is no reason to bother with this app.
  • Make time available for hotel!

    By Bonnie Love the freak
I absolutely that it pulls from my email! Just a minor suggestion. For the hotel is doesn’t allow you to use check in or check out time. It completely throws my Itinerary off. I’m super organized and I wanted to have all my info in a one stop shop. If you could change that. That would be awesome sauce!!
  • Not There Yet

Great concept, has real promise. However, no where close to being useful yet. Your plan integrates with nothing, you can’t share it with a spouse or travel partner. Absolutely no web interface, only app. I think the most amazing aspect about this app is that, for a google product that could be so easily integrated into your google life, it doesn’t do any of that. It’s a unitasker.
  • Don’t waste your time

As a gmail user I was enticed by advertising that this app could import my travel confirmation emails. Ah, nope. Fail. Totally useless.
  • Needs improvement

    By Terlezki
It’s an interesting app, but very inconvenient. Would be better if day planner looked like a list of different places (still can’t get how to add a restaurant, for example) with a map. Download mode and the most of other features are great, btw.
  • Below expectations

Very poor user experience. I've never really had to Google how to use a Google product before. Which is a weird sentence now that I think about it.
