App Reviews

  • Weird color algorithm

    By sohnbren
It’s alright. I wish it had a longer trial period so I could explore it more. But this app has the strangest bias against pairing clothing of the same color. For example, light gray shorts and dark gray cardigan. It crashes a lot, particularly when using the filter function. Parts of the app don’t refresh when they should (e.g., if you remove an item of clothing, it will continue to show outfits with that item in places.), which is extremely annoying. I wish you could dismiss items from the shopping page.
  • Useful but needs improvements

    By gray-pup
What’s good: * Great for helping indecisive people like me get dressed quickly and save time in the morning * Helps you see which items you actually wear * Suggests new outfits using your existing wardrobe What needs work: * There’s no way to remove an outfit from your favorites. * There are glitches when it comes to entering custom item names (mine made duplicates). * There should be a way to sort clothing items and outfits from most worn to least worn. * There should be an option to wait a certain number of days before suggesting a shirt you’ve just worn. * App freezes or crashes occasionally. * There should be a better sample of graphic tees (e.g., grab some from Urban Outfitters or Out of Print) for easier reference.
  • Really enjoy

I’ve had cladwell for a year or so and truly appreciate how it not only tracks what I wear so I can purge appropriately but also that it helps my anxiety. There are days I can go into panic attack because of the thoughts when I go in my closet. This shortens that time and lessens that likelihood. One thing I would love to see more of is athletic shorts and items that are more leisure. I am very active and wear lots or running and athletic gear that is like to track as well. Shorts in general could also use more options.
  • No!!

I hate this app! I have to pay each month to have it?! Like what the heck?! I just wanted some styling tips?! I’m really disappointed with this app😠🤯

seemed promising but surprises you with a $7.99 monthly subscription. didn’t sign up so can’t say much. just warning you can’t do anything unless you subscribe
  • Yes please 6/18 update

    By JoesGirlinOregon
I’ve been a member since launch and really have tried to love it. But the execution isn’t there. For instance this latest update wiped out my entire closet! I tried emailing three times and nothing. I’ve also tried to add my own photos which you can supposedly do with the latest update and nope. Not an option either. I’d like my yearly subscription refunded or at least an answer to one of the three emails I’ve sent. ******Update******* Great app. This little gem has made my mornings a breeze. Not only that but it helps me keep track of what I don’t wear and I donate at the end of each season. LOVE the ability to add my own pics from online. Love the Favorites tab, love the ability to schedule a couple days ahead. If I could add one thing. It would be landscape mode. PUH-LEEEZE give us landscape mode on the iPad!!!!
  • Could be great, but slow getting there

    By Messica
The brilliant thing about this app is you don’t have to painstakingly photograph your entire wardrobe like all the other wardrobe apps out there and I think the selection of pre-selected clothes offered is actually pretty good. Unfortunately the outfit suggestions are just bad: repetitive, weather inappropriate, skipping over potentially good combos for no apparent reason. They should drop or minimize the outfit suggestion feature and allow users to create, save and categorize their own outfits. And yes you can currently “favorite” or “dismiss” an outfit or create your own but it never seems to save it when you do! Again this would be a great app if the user had more control. In the developers favor, they do seem to update often.
  • Great but Glitchy

    By dia🌟
Great app, but it is so glitchy! It constantly crashes and closes on me. I’m not happy since I did just subscribe.
  • It’s not free and you barely get a trial

    By Ajeburrah
I don’t understand why this app does not say “in-app purchases” before you download. Or why they do not tell you upfront that this is a $95.88 per year app! What the heck? I am honestly annoyed that I wasted my time actually answering all the questions they asked upfront and got absolutely NOTHING in return. Advice: if you are going to take me through 6 screens of questions, you can AT LEAST show me the outfit for 1 day before demanding my financial information in order to charge me a ridiculous price for an app. I’ve never seen a service that only gives a 3 day free trial. Sounds rather fishy to me. So pass! On to the next one which is - by the way - FREE.
  • A little obsessed.

    By Rosemary Z.
Update: It is as if the developers read my mind. A year after my original review, almost all the features I wanted have been added. Good work, folks! ———————— I'm a little obsessed with this app. I won't say that using it has made my mornings effortless — I am capable of agonizing over different combinations in the app for an embarrassing amount of time — but this app has suddenly helped me to see that I have SO MANY CLOTHES and really don't need to buy any more. As someone who has struggled with simplification for a long time, this is a minor miracle. A whole new world of possibilities has opened up to me just from what I already had in my closet, and I am so happy. I think the $3.50 or whatever it is a month that the yearly subscription is costing me is prooooobably well offset by the clothes that I am NOT buying. Minor gripes / Wish list features: I really wish I could pick out my clothes for the next day the night before. I kinda do, just by exploring possibilities in the desired capsule, but I'd like to be able to log in advance. I wish I could tap on two items and see which outfits they occur in together. I wish there was a “stats” page where I could see what I was really wearing (each individual item has a stats page, but I'd like one for the whole app, or per capsule or something). I wish there was support for accessories (scarves, hats, jewelry) and also multiple layers: like, in the winter, I'll wear a top (and bottoms obv), a sweater, and a coat over it all. Currently you can only log one layer, which is not how I dress (I live in upstate NY). Aaaaaaand lastly I really really wish you could log more than one outfit in a day. I very very often have an outfit change in the evening, say for work and then date night after, or hiking and then dinner after. Anyway, I am fond of this app and totally recommend it. It only started in what, March? And the developers have been fabulous about improving the app and rolling out new updates. KEEP IT UP!
