Gave me the local channels and sports channels I wanted. And can stream on the phone. Love it!!
  • Could be better

We have had YouTube TV on our phones and smart tv for nearly two months. All was going great until about two weeks ago. At that time, we haven’t been able to watch our recordings from the dvr because they’ve been restricted and when we watch vod, there are so many commercials. If it weren’t for those two issues, this would be a 5 Star review!!
  • Like the option but playback super unstable

    By SeattleSR
We got YouTubeTV about a month ago (to watch SoundersFC) and I just updated thinking that would solve the crashing, occasional but dramatic mis-matching of video with sound (whole different scenes), and the continual bumping back to start a show at the beginning - including the numerous and teeth-clenchingly repetitive ads all over again! Seems like within this first month, most of the networks no longer allow the DVR playback option and whatever player(s) are used for VOD playback are unstable (CBS in particular). (Also maybe add beinSports and beinSportsñ in the mix.) But if stability doesn’t improve we may jump to another service and just go watch Sounders away matches in a pub. UPDATE: just took off another star as I struggled again with the app just on my iPad Pro x not trying to cast to AppleTV. Program again jumped the video back to the beginning with the subtitles and the scrubbing being the only thing continuing on from where we had been watching - and there was no way to get them to re sync.
  • What a scam ~ Nothing is free!

Don’t buy this app. It is a total scam. They say it gives you access to free TV. Did they charge your account for 40 bucks. It’s a total scam!
  • Difficult

First I don’t recommend getting this service thru the apple app. It’s $5 more and does not give you a free trial. Very difficult to load on your tv. If you tv is older than two years most likely it will not load. Cancelled. Lost $40.
  • Best cord cutter option

    By Still Hunting
I started using YouTube TV thinking it would be a downgrade from my satellite service. I actually found within a couple of days I was using it more and preferred it over the satellite. Pros - DVR is great. Interface is simple and easy to navigate. I use my iPad and a combination of Apple TV and Roku devices on different TVs. Cons - you will have to watch the commercials, even on the DVR events. If you have a good internet connection this is the way to go.
  • Pretty good so far

Pretty good I am enjoying it and so is my family especially if your a sports fanatic looking for an alternative to pay cheaper that cable.
  • DVR is a joke

If like to pay to watch commercials this is your app! The unlimited DVR only allows you to watch shows on demand with ADS!!
  • Cut the ads of lose customers

    By TATJWT86
I use to love my YouTube tv. The reason being, I could dvr all my shows and fast forward through the commercials. I even gave up the plethora of stations on standard cable to switch over. Just recently they started forcing us to watch ads on series we’ve recorded. Why?! I record these shows so I don’t have to watch advertisements. I pay for a service and now you’ve taken it away. I even chose this service over directtv now because we were able to fast forward recorded shows. Now, I’m thinking of switching over to directtv now because if I’m going to be forced to watch ads I might as well get more channels for what I’m paying for.
  • It’s alright

    By koobiluphi
It works, but is missing key Apple TV features. It really should be compatible with the TV app, but it’s not.
