Messenger Kids App Description

A fun, free app that lets kids video call and message parent-approved family and friends from their iPad, iPod touch or iPhone. With Messenger Kids: Parents Have More Control • Parents fully control the contact list making it a safer, more controlled environment of just close friends and family. • Messages don't disappear and can't be hidden in case parents would like to check in. • There are no ads or in-app purchases, and the app is free to download. Kids Have More Fun • Kid-appropriate stickers, GIFs, frames and emojis help kids creatively express themselves. • One-on-one or group video calls come to life with fun, interactive masks. • The feature-filled camera lets kids create videos and decorate photos to share with loved ones. It's Easy to Use • Works on iPad, iPod touch and iPhone on the go or just using a Wi-Fi connection. No phone number is needed. • Parents and approved grown-ups can connect from their Messenger app wherever it's installed. Additional Information • Creating a Messenger Kids account for a child does not create a Facebook account for them. • Parents and guardians use their own Facebook accounts to authorize their kids' Messenger Kids accounts. • Parents control their child’s contact list and can remove contacts at any time. • Kids have the option to report or block contacts and report inappropriate content. If a child submits a report, their parent or guardian will be notified. • We're always working to improve Messenger Kids. I have looked at the most recent update and It is great but 1 thing Is weird to me. I have noticed You have sunglasses for big sister little sister big brother etc. i’m perfectly fine with that this is the one thing that concerns me noticed that you have no sunglasses/hats for only children that is weird because you are not letting only children take cool photos

We just set up an account today and loving it so far. I accidentally created my first child’s account using my name. Is there anyway I can delete that?
  • Worst app on my phone!

This app is the worst app on my phone. My parents downloaded it on my phone and I opened it and saw little monsters. I just older than ten and this app has very immature features. Monsters, animals, GIFs and more. And none of them are for my age. My parents are over protective and I am sick of it. Less childish features, the more I will use this app. Trust me. Anyone over eight wanting to purchase this app, Im warning you, dont get this. Also texting app for kids? They should ask for a trip to the park or go to a trampline park! They dont want to remember their childhood of getting over 2 hours of electronic time.

My kids can text our family without the worry of sending a text to someone that isn’t approved by me. And the effects are so fun. Highly recommend!!!

I love this app so much!! The effects are so much fun!! I am military kid and I had made really good friends and it was pretty hard to move away from them. It feels awesome to be able to call them without having to use my mom's tablet and account. Only one thing that was not entirely good about it, I can't voice call my friends. Because I moved, we have different time zones, sometimes it's a little late for my friend and we used to voice call, but now that we can't I have to turn off my camera and I can't call her as if I were using a real phone, I have to either plug in my earbuds or just keep her on speaker phone and it gets a little anoyying. I really really love this app, but that would just make it a bit better. Also, when I am in a different app, my friends can't see me and I can't see them. If that could change, that would be awesome. Also, this is to people who think that this app is bad for kids, I am 11 and I go outside for hours everyday and I still get in touch with my friends almost every day! I highly recommend this app to kids 4+ especially military, because I know from experience that it cab be heartbreaking to move away from friends and this gives them a chance to stay in touch with them and family!

This was an awesome app for a few days, but all of a sudden, after the message notification appears and then opening the app to chat, the message that has just been sent to my daughter has disappeared. She can only see her friend’s messages as notifications, but not within the actual app. I tried sending chats from me to her and the same things happens, where she can only view her own chat messages, but not those of her contacts. I even tried deleting the app and reinstalling it, using it on two different phones and an iPad, but it still doesn’t work. Too bad!
