Boulevard AR App Description

Exploring works of art has never been so immediate, personal and transporting. Boulevard AR brings to life one of the most celebrated paintings of the world-renowned Tudor collection from London’s National Portrait Gallery. The Portrait of Sir Henry Unton is introduced by Charlotte Bolland, the museum’s Curator of 16th Century Collections, who narrates and guides the immersive experience through nine individual vignettes, allowing the user to independently explore this fascinating and unusual work of art. You can place the Unton portrait on a wall, in your own space, hold up your device and move towards the painting for close-up looking; tap to activate further special elements. Period music and enhanced dimensionality make your encounter with history even more meaningful and complete. Through augmented reality, Boulevard Arts is reshaping the landscape of storytelling and revolutionizing the way the world looks at the arts. Bring the Portrait of Sir Henry Unton into your world and see what unfolds. -Simple UI: tap to activate. -User-driven experience; self-guided discovery and learning. -8K image--move in closer to see fine details of artist’s unique brushwork and application of oil paint; user can get closer than ever possible in a museum. -Learn about themes and ideas of Tudor politics, society and culture directly from senior Curator. -First of many Boulevard Arts ARKit 1.5 experiences that will offer engaging and entertaining learning opportunities through visual arts content. - Recommended for use with ARkit ready devices. Also available on any device running iOS 11 or higher. -Ecosystem of Boulevard Arts provides a broad humanities-based exploration of art and culture. *Music credit: Lachrimae, or Seven Tears - 9. • It's only one painting!!

Nice app but only one painting.
  • Awesome app

So futuristic and amazing how clear it comes in. Looks like it really sits wherever you put it. Only thing... I paid the 2.99. Will I have more paintings than the one sir Henry? Update: developers reached out and answered my question. ⭐️ (6th star) and lets just say I’m excited for the near future with this app. Lol
  • One Painting

    By Citizenzac
This app has 1 painting. Developer should’ve waited for at least a few before launching the app. I’ve shown it to my kids and they enjoyed it, but they’re already done with it because it’s only 1 painting. App will be worth the price if more paintings get added like the devs claim.

  • One Artist SICK BUD

    By Sage & Oak
I was stoked to purchase this app and gain a deeper knowledge of some incredible artists but much to my dismay it was of only ONE ARTIST this app is waste of money and I am outraged that Apple would speak so highly of this lazy one artist app.
  • 1 paining

    By LER26
Please note you’re paying $3.00 for one painting, the app has awesome potential but I can’t really use in my class with one painting.
  • Rip off

    By GeeMoneyMoney
Granted, this is an interesting proof of concept, but there is literally a single painting available. One. The description is incredibly misleading.

Not worth the price! Great idea and app but you only get ONE PAINTING! Please add more or refund the price of the app. DO NOT BUY!
  • Can’t wait to see more!!!

    By flysrp
    Simply astonishing
  • Buyer Beware! Only one painting included!

    By brianericford
I stupidly bought the app thinking it would actually include more than one painting. It doesn’t. It contains just the one. And a couple minutes of discussion about it. It’s not worth the asking price for what you get. It WOULD be worth the price if it had a different painting every day. But, again. It doesn’t. Don’t waste your money.
