  • Change is good... sometimes

This newest version works well. A lot less clunky. The Apple Watch app however no longer seems to be connected to the phone app. There used to be an option on the watch to select whether you were using just the watch or the watch with your phone. For the second option the phone in essence became a remote display and control for the phone and phone app. Since I like to stream music, etc on my phone while I run I always have my phone with me. To pause or whatever I have to pull my phone out to mess with it instead of simply using my watch. It would be. I’ve if the watch version had the audio cues. I really like audio cues telling me what my progress is. If the watch app had it I could maybe download a play list onto my watch and run with just the watch although I really like the Spotify feature for streaming music which is also not on the watch app. Especially with the Spotify playlists for running that have a set BPM for pacing. It used to have a feature which sensed what your pace was and selected music with that BPM or, in some cases, adjusted the tempo of the music (especially the playlists made specifically for this use by some artists like Tiesto). The pace sensing didn’t work that well but you could input your desired pace manually. It was great. Now it’s gone. :-/
  • Great app, but terrible on the Apple Watch.

While I love the Runkeeper version on my iPhone, I have rarely had the Apple Watch version work properly. Today, the Apple Watch Runkeeper app notified me I made it to 4 miles, then crashed. I have no data form the run now. While a run is in progress, I do love the the data it shows. Clean, very easy to read screen. I cannot stand that so many of my runs are lost when using the Apple Watch Runkeeper app. Don’t do it. Use the Apple activity on the watch or bring your phone to use the iPhone Runkeeper app. The Apple Watch app is awful.
  • The best app for jogging, recommended on any device.

I used Runkeeper on before my Android device and now I'm using it on IOS. Simply, the best!

Very helpful for running it tells me everything I need to know. Very helpful with getting your pace down. Would not consider to use a different app.

    Best running app bar none!
  • Apple Watch

This app seems to work worse every timeI use it. I recommend you save your money and find something better if you are looking for something that will actually track your stats when training and also sync the data collected from Apple Watch. Other than that this app just isn’t worth the hassle. 59.99$ and it will not sync your data.
  • Runkeeper much improved

    By chodaboy
First, I love the Apple Watch app. Now I can finally leave the phone in the car. Now I just have to wait for spring.... This app is so much better than previous iterations. They had taken a great app and bogged it down with useless stuff. It's still there, but not so much in my face like before. I just want to keep track of workouts that synch with up and wethings, but now I can't do anything without it asking about joining friends. That's not why I have this! Runkeeper insights used to crash on me, but they have finally fixed it. This has really helped to motivate me to workout more. While I don't use the friends feature, I do compete with myself and an always trying to get a better time or distance. Very easy to use, love how it syncs with all my other apps like Withings and Up.
  • Good but not great.

    By StreamRunning
Good: audio prompts. Online history. Splits. Bad: can't set exact pace (minutes only). Worst: can’t disable interruptions, messages, phone calls, etc. Runners can’t fiddle with acknowledging notices when running. Written by software engineers, not runners. When I run, I want nothing but stop/pause huge buttons on screen. Hint: runners wear on arm and do NOT look at screen while running! My run times are wrong by 15-30 secs while I fiddle with whether to take a photo, listen to voice messages, etc. (NO! I just want to stop timer!).
  • Love it

I’ve been running with this app for years. I love it and it does motivate me to keep running and improving. It helps me stay on track during my hard runs and easy runs.
  • Trouble with the app updating

    By onefizzylittledame
I was really impressed by how quickly the team responded to my email with an issue with my weight updating in the app. Within a day I had multiple responses and the app was fixed. Great service all around.
