I own a Line 6 interface. The app requires that you use their hardware or pay the unlock the app. I was curious about the price and clicked purchase, planning to exit the app afterward. A Touch ID Apple wallet authorization for 19.99 appeared with no warning and was approved immediately because my thumb was resting on the home button, anticipating closing the app. I own the hardware and have no need to unlock the app, I would have done so shortly after this with the Line 6 Sonic Port
  • Read This Before Buying ANY Line 6 Product

    By America's App Advisor
I currently own the Spider V 30. I was guided to make this purchase when I contacted Line 6. It's a decent little practice amp with many effects and WAY more sound than you’d expect for 30W. And it ought to considering what you get for the price - especially when you consider the cost and value of their other products. I purchased it through Guitar Center because I had a sizable credit for merchandise I’d returned and it was on sale at $200.00 plus tax. At the time I thought the price was okay. After all I’d (I thought) done my research; I compared products, read a lot of reviews, looked at the competitors models, checked prices with a variety of retailers and even contacted Line 6 In the hopes of receiving honest guidance from a professional sales person. Anyway, I go other the Line 6 website yesterday and scroll through their current promotions and items on sale when I see a brand new 75W Amplifi™ amp for just $40 more than I paid for my amp. Of course, it comes with everything I have to purchase separately and is basically a $500 plus product available for $240. I’m going to contact Line 6 and see if there’s some way we can negotiate a return and treat treat because in my opinion this is absolute crap. Even though I mentioned it, not once did that jackass of a Line 6 sales idiot truly assist me by helping me find the best product available for the price. Now I realize you may be thinking, but this particular product may not have even been on sale at that time. And that’s entirely possible, however I didn’t just look at the one amp. I kept scrolling down the entire list of promotional and on sale equipment and it blew my mind. I’m telling you right now - there’s no way the product they recommended was the best value they had available. Instead, they probably had a huge number of Spider V 30 in inventory. I’m quite sure they would tell their sales team to recommend this particular item and whoever sold the most of them that mom was probably presented a lovely plaque plaque or trophy and some stupid gift. Now, if you’re wondering about their apps - take a look at the iOS remote control app. because there’s no Bluetooth compatibility with some problems you’ll need to buy a 10 or 12 foot long official Apple lightning cable to control your amplifier. Either that or drop an easy $1000 accessorizing your purchase.

Somehow this app tricked me into buying a $19.99 upgrade. Beware.
  • 2.0.4 broken in iOS10.3.3 iPad

    By TheRealDutchee
Built-in audition loops no longer work, nor getting any sound through Audiobus or AUM as an effects unit. I have seen this issue happen on more iPads that run 10.3.3. In general i have had good experiences with Line 6 hardware, but my experience with this software app has been a constant let down.

  • Crashing! Update please!

    By Dog Pound Dynasty
I use this app to make a living. It is a great app but needs a refresh and UPDATE as this it keeps crashing when you click “Select” and you’re not able to SHARE the tones. 1) UPDATE to stop the crashing please! 2) Make the app easier to share all your tones that you’ve worked so hard to make, you know the ones you made so that you can make a living :-) .... Is it possible to add the functionality to share your entire SETLIST or to even push your Tones to the Cloud like the Line6 Spider Amp & App??? 3) We need the ability to TYPE IN YOUR DELAY AMOUNT RATHER THAN USING THE RIDICULOUS ROUND SLIDER THATS HARD TO GET RIGHT!!! 4) WE NEED A PHASER!!!!! If you fix the above and maintain and update it and read comments make the Sonic Ports a priority and support them better, this app get FIVE STARS!

Warning - do not purchase this app or the associated amp li fi amplifier. I have had this product for about a year now and this app has never been stable. It crashes at times, and usually fails to sync with your amplifier until you've tried/failed the manual sync process several times. Do not purchase this and make the same mistake I did - now if i want to play my guitar using this gear, I need to waste time that could be spent playing trying to get the app and amp to sync. So disappointing
