This app does a good job of keeping me on track, by tracking my progress, and shows me specifically where I need more help, by their specified lessons. Excellent app and keeps getting better with the updates!

Won’t accept the right answer which prevents advancement & future learning. The app is designed to provide the correct answer if the student is incorrect. However, Every Time Im using the app, I come to a point where my answer is correct & exactly as the corrected answer is shown but, no matter how many times the right answer is entered, the system won’t recognize. What’s the bleepin point then!?!

Duolingo uses similar presentation methods as the infamously expensive Rosetta Stone for free and teaches over 20 languages from Europe and Asia.
  • Fun, easy to use

The app works very well, and I like that I can switch between my phone and my Mac. The bots to practice dialogue are generally great, but I find that the speech recognition needs work.
  • This app is great, But......

This app is great for learning the language, but it's just great for learning the language, it should be able to give us information about the language, it's roots, what makes it stand out from the rest. That is what the app Should do

I would give Duolingo 5 stars as I recommend it to everyone, but my only gripe is the alphabet lessons for some languages. The Russian lessons don’t focus too much on actually teaching you the alphabet and in Japanese you’re not given enough lessons with the characters.
