  • Fun, however

I’m about a week in, having a good time learning Russian. But I wish I could turn off the written portion, as I do not wish to learn to write in Russian.
  • Really helping

Duolingo has really helped me grasp the basic concepts of Japanese. I felt like the language was so daunting, but with a couple of bumps in the road, I feel like basic mastery is very close.

This app is wonderful; I’m using it to get a head start on French before I start a class on it next year. However, I have one minor problem that I wanted to bring to the developers’ attention regarding profile pictures. Whenever I try to set my profile picture, there’s always something wrong with it. Whether it’s very off-center to the point that you can’t tell what the picture was supposed to be of or there’s a corner of the picture and the rest is black, it just isn’t right. I hope this little glitch can be fixed in a new update.
  • I love this app!!

I would like a request: can you please add Icelandic? My friend and I want to practice a language together and I choose Icelandic but I know you don’t have it on your list of languages. This is my wish. Thank you!

Duolingo is an amazing app for learning a language or two. It helps you understand and read the language but it doesn’t help you actually speak it.
  • Amazing

I just started learning Dutch on Duolingo a week ago, and I have been learning French for just over a year. Even though I had stopped working on my French for a few months, the app made it easy for me to start up again and continue smoothly. The aesthetic of the app makes it almost like a game, so it is fun to use and keep your streak alive. Something I would recommend is to have better explanations for the grammatical rules in other languages, like Dutch, since it is confusing sometimes. Clubs could be improved as well: I think that the minigames in the clubs should adjust their challenges depending your level.

I used talk to text all the time and have zero issues. However, when I open this app and try talking it never understands me. Now I realize it wanted me to talk in Spanish when it was having an issue understanding me.
  • Hey, that’s pretty good

The app is pretty nice if you want to get a decent grasp of a language for free. It does suffer from the same problem as Rosetta Stone in that computerized pronunciation is difficult. Other than that, it’s free and it’s languages are extensive. Deadass.
  • Amazing, wonderful...

Are a couple of words that can describe this app. I use this almost every day, to learn how to speak Spanish, and I can almost speak fluent Spanish! It’s amazing. And there are like 0 adds, except at the end of lessons. But other wise, NO adds at all! It’s amazing! I have never have a app with only a few adds. I also like how you can add your friends and see how your friends are progressing. This app is amazing (as I have said many times before) if you are trying to learn a new language. Love it!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for taking the time to read this

So I’ve been using Duolingo on and off for a couple of years now. It’s been so helpful learning other languages and it put me ahead in my some of my foreign language classes. It was included in one of my classes as extra credit. Now I’ve been wanting to learn another language, Albanian, but it’s not on there. When there is another update will you include that please? Thank you. Also, I’m in school to become an ESL teacher. I’m thinking about using Duolingo to help my future students if I am able too.
