  • Laggy scrolling on iPhone X, no Mod support

I’ve been using Narwhal since it launched, and I really do love it! But I’m a mod of a few subs and it’s incredibly frustrating how there aren’t any mod tools. I end up using Apollo for that. Even more frustrating is the laggy scrolling I’ve noticed on the iPhone X. It seems to usually only happen while the scrolling is slowing down or speeding up, so I’m guessing it occurs when the scrolling framerate doesn’t evenly divide into the timestep rate. Please at least fix the scrolling, and I’d really appreciate mod tools too!
  • Good iPad app

I’ve been using Apollo as my DD on iPhone as it seems to be the smoothest Reddit app and I’m happy with it. Apollo doesn’t have iPad support yet however and is an area where Narwhal absolutely dominates. No complaints from me there, and was well worth the pro upgrade imo, considering there’s ways to customize just about everything. 5 stars all day for the iPad app!
  • Just came back to iOS for the X

I went to android for about 7 months. Prior to that I used Narwal for quite a while. While on my Galaxy s8 I got used to the AMOLED screen and true black apps. When I got my X the first thing I downloaded was Narwal. Unfortunately it looked pretty bad and outdated, then I found out about the new True black theme. Now I love it again.
  • The sliding and gestures far surpass other Reddit apps’ ease of use

I’m making the switch to an Android phone for a while and the Narwhal app for Reddit will be one of my most missed apps. The swipe to up/downvote is so so great! I’m currently testing out a bunch of Reddit apps in the Google Play store on my new Android phone but none are quite the same. This app is so smooth to use. I will miss it dearly. Please make an Android version soon 😭😭😭
  • Wonderful, a must have.

I started on reddit five or six years ago after my soon to be wife got me started. I’ve since moved from desktop browsing to constant browsing on mobile and narwhal is a vast improvement over the mobile site with customization options I couldn’t live without. It’s highly stable and I’ve never crashed or even seen a bug with the app. GIF browsing is fast and the slide to upvote, downvote, and hide post make things so simple and streamlined. 10/10 would use again.
  • Switched to Narwal from AlienBlue

I like the interface but I really hate the ads, but it’s a good replacement for AlienBlue I guess I’ll just have to pay up to get rid of the ads.
  • Can’t listen to podcats while using

About 80% of the time the app silences podcasts when using pocket casts
  • Landscape support is amazing!

I have been wanting landscape support for the official reddit app, but narwhal blows it out of the water. The landscape mode is so powerful on a plus iPhone! The customization is wonderful too.
  • best reddit app but getting very glitchy

this was the best reddit client but now i’m running into more and more problems. for example, some comments have giant pieces of blankness on the top and bottom of them and can not be fixed, and they cover up some of the words
  • Love it!

The new update is awesome - I love the auto playing gifs! Best Reddit browser out there. Thanks for all your hard work, devs.
