App Reviews

  • Good, not prefect

    By D TunaToons
First off, if you’re a beginner in music (guitar, bass, piano, ukulele) this app is a good starting point. It’s a good way to practice changing notes (which is really every beginner’s struggle). It helps you gain confidence playing but I don’t recommend it for any experienced player. For any beginner reading this, this app is a good start, but the true key is to stay loose and try to learn songs you like to listen to. No one becomes a great musician over night and every musician is still learning new techniques and riffs.
  • Annoying

    By eleanor314
It worked great for the first day, but now all it is saying is to get the free trial. I have tried more than 24 hrs since I last played on the app, and it still says this. Quite annoying as I just want to learn guitar!
  • Disappointed

    By catsarecute2017
I was so exited to learn to use the ukulele that I rented from the library for 2 weeks but then I realized that it cost money and my parents would not let me buy that subscription. if this app were free I would be on it 24/7.
  • I loved it when it was free

Why ruin a good thing... run ads and make money that way... the technology on this app is amazing and propels musical learning. Why keep that away from people that can’t afford it? I’ve had this app for at least a year and I’m sad to see that Yousician designers only care about the money... 🤷🏼‍♀️
  • Rip-off!!!!!!

    By hyper420
Deceptively offering a “free” app and then forcing a recurring membership in order to even try it... no thanks
  • Love It!

The app works great and I’m picking up piano even with out a subscription!

I tried tuning my guitar with the tuning device and IT. BROKE.OFF! I kept having to tune it because of the app saying it was to low and then BANG! It broke off! Over all i would say I liked the teaching ability of the app I’m just kind of upset that my string broke off because of a poor tuning device.
  • Beware of charge

    By Dh20$lheh
App works very well but doesn’t have a lot of content for more advanced guitar players (intermediates and above). Also be very careful about billing. If you don’t cancel, it will charge you for a full year which is over $120
  • Amaaazzing!!! Tell your friends ^_^

Absolutely fantastic teaching tool. Amazingly fun to play and learn. Learning curve is easy peasy lemon squeezy. You can get a decent amount of learning per day with the free version, but after a week or two, if you feel like you’re serious, get the trial version and see how much you use it more than the trial version and then get the year! It’s sooooo worth it. I tried a RL teacher and i never felt like i got as much out of it as i should have, and it was very expensive... like $20 a session or something. Prolly a $1000 for a year. So $120-160 a year for this is noting. Just make sure you don’t slack off! Everything you need is here and as long as you stick with it you’re gonna be playing stuff you never though possible before you know it!! 10/5* Guitar and piano user.
